I would just like to point out an error I noticed in the English transliteration of a sentence in the list.

It says 'Mei ny london mei taleen hasil karny ky liye apnay baity ko bhaija'. I suppose it should be 'taleem' instead of 'taleen'.

Dear Afshan, I have been learning Urdu for maybe two months and don't feel like being able to form reasonable sentences, just like you feel ... but I think we should begin not with long sentences but with phrases and short sentences like "x is y" me Libby hun, ye topi hai, aaj mosam acha hai .. and slightly enlarge them as we feel more confident about the basic elements
