I highly recommend 'Read and Write Urdu Script' by Teach Yourself. Really helped me to get a good understanding of the alphabet. You can find it cheap on Book Depository. As someone who basically only has to know how to SPEAK Urdu (it's my husband's first language), I didn't start learning the alphabet until a while later. Whether you only want to know conversational Urdu or also learn how to write it, I found out it is really essential to learn the script no matter what. It helps a lot. Urdu Pod101 is great but when it comes to the alphabet it is not super helpful (also, in all honesty, the transliteration doesn't always match the script). You should buy a book that teaches the script and go through proper exercises and read extensive explanations.

We understand that you are having difficulties learning Urdu alphabets. If by teaching you mean video lessons where teacher shows how to write those alphabets, unfortunately we don't have that.

The learning process varies across individual students. We have students who are doing great by learning from the resources we have. But perhaps it is not working well with you.

If Urdupod101 actually wanted students to succeed, it would TEACH the Urdu alphabet rather than referring students to a list of the Urdu letters, which is not helpful. I have gone to the Urdu resources section and followed the link but was unable to learn the alphabet from these resources.

Do you have a recommendation for any resources that actually teach the alphabet instead of just listing the letters? I do not find your resources thus far helpful.

Where do we learn the alphabet?

How are we supposed to read this when Urdupod101 doesn't actually TEACH the alphabet???
