Alisha: This is Must-Know Urdu Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 15. In this lesson, you'll learn expressions to describe feeling angry.
Alisha: These are expressions that you'll hear a lot or have to use repeatedly if you have people around you who get angry easily.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
Alisha: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Syed: دل خفا ہے
(dil khafa hai)
Syed: میٹر گھومنا
(meter ghoomna)
Syed: آگ بگولا ہونا
(aag bagola hona)
Syed: پُھٹو
(phuto)
Alisha: Syed, what's our first expression?
Syed: دل خفا ہے
(dil khafa hai)
Alisha: literally meaning "the heart is sad." But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "upset."
Syed: [SLOW] دل خفا ہے [NORMAL] دل خفا ہے

Alisha: literally meaning "meter rotation." But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to get angry."

Alisha: literally meaning "to be a firestorm." But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to be very angry."

Syed: پُھٹو

Alisha: It means "get out, leave."

Alisha: Use this slang expression when you want to tell someone to leave or get out. It is mostly used in an angry mood, when you are annoyed and not in a good mood.
Be careful while using this word face to face with elders, as it is rude.

Syed: [NORMAL] تمہارا یہاں کوئی کام نہیں ہے، یہاں سے پُھٹو۔
(Tumhara yahan koi kaam nahin hai, yahan say phuto.)

Alisha: "You have no business here, get out of here."
