السلام عليكم.
(as-salāmu ʿalaykum)
And this is Afrah, welcome to our series - Urdu Top Words. So today our lesson would be top 10 questions that you should know. So let's get started!
1.
آپ کا نام کیا ہے؟
(Aap ka nam kia hai?)
"What's your name?"
So the first question is
آپ کا نام کیا ہے؟
(Aap ka nam kia hai?)
"What's your name?"
(Mera nam Afrah hai.)
"My name is Afrah."

آپ کہاں سے ہیں؟
(Aap kahan say hain?)
"Where are you from?"
(Mei Lahore say hun.) "I am from Lahore."
3.
آپ کی سالگرہ کب ہے؟
(Aap ki salgirah kab hai?)
"When is your birthday?"
(Meri salgirah november mein hai.)
"My birthday is in November."
4.
آپ کہاں رہتی ہیں؟
(Aap kahan rehti hain?)
"Where do you live?"
میں... میں رہتا/ رہتی ہوں.
(Mein Lahore mei rehti hun.)
"I live in Lahore."
So guys, you're going to notice that in a lot of questions, I'm going to be using some words which I'm going to change according to the principles of masculine and feminine nouns and verbs. آپ کا فون نمبر کیا ہے؟
(Aap ka phone number kia hai?)
"What's your phone number?"
The next question is
آپ کا فون نمبر کیا ہے؟
(Aap ka phone number kia hai?)
"What's your phone number?"
میرا فون نمبر یہ ہے....
(Mera phone number yeh hai ...)
"My phone number is ..."
So you just have to replace your number with the word yeh, and yeh literally means "this."

آپ نے اردو کہاں سے سیکھی؟
(Aap nay Urdu kahan say seekhi?)
"Where did you learn Urdu?"
میں نے اردو پاڈ101.کام سے اردو سیکهی.
(Mei nay Urdupod101.com say Urdu seekhi.)
"I learned Urdu from Urdupod101.com."
Which would be true in your case.
7.
کیا آپ پاکستانی کھانا پسند کرتے/ کرتی ہیں؟
(Kia aap Pakistani khana pasand kertay / kerti hain?)
"Do you like Pakistani food?"
So if you're a guy, you would be using kertay hain; but if you're a girl, you'll be using kerti hain.
"Do you like Pakistani food?"
جی ہاں، میں پاکستانی کھانا پسند کرتا/ کرتی ہوں.
(G han, Mei Pakistani khana pasand kerta / kerti hun.)
"Yes, I like Pakistani food. "

کیا آپ پاکستان گئے / گئی ہیں؟
(Kia aap Pakistan gaye / gai hain?)
"Have you been to Pakistan?"
جی ہاں.
(G han.)
"Yes."
9.
آپ پاکستان میں کہاں جانا چاہتے / چاہتی ہیں؟
(Aap Pakistan mei kahan jana chahtay/ chahti hain?)
"Where do you want to go in Pakistan?"
میں لاہور جانا چاہتا / چاہتی ہوں.
(Mei Lahore jana chahta / chahti hun.)
"I want to go to Lahore. "
10.
آپ پاکستان میں کتنے دن کے لیے ہیں؟
(Aap Pakistan mei kitnay din ky liye hain?)
"For how many days are you in Pakistan?"
(Mei panch dino ky liye Pakistan mei hun.)
" I am in Pakistan for 5 days. "
